We originally received a size 6/7 but had to return it for a size 7/8. My daughter had just turned 6 but the swimsuit was tight. Although the quality is great! size up!

This product appears to be very well made, but I am deducting a star because it is very small. My daughter is 8 years old, weighs 72 pounds and usually wears a size 8 in street clothes. I had to get her a size 10-12 so she doesn't dig into her shoulders and stands ridiculously high in the front and back of the crotch. She also needed my help to put on and take off her clothes, which made her very impractical for dancing. I was impressed with the quality but they need to fix the sizing issue.

I'm glad I read the reviews to rate them. Bought 4-6 for my kid who wears 3t and it fits perfectly. Feels good, dense material and washes well so far. Must be comfortable because my little one prefers this swimsuit to other brands I've bought.

I also read a lot of reviews and was concerned about what size to order for my petite 2.5 year old girl. I have absolutely no experience in dancing so I wasn't sure if leotards would naturally run small etc. I chose 2-4T for the leotard. I also ordered a zipperless Capezio Tactel skirt in a small size. The swimsuit fit well. The skirt went up but looser. I'm worried the skirt will fall off while she's in class so I'm returning it for a size smaller. For the record, my daughter is just under 34…

For some reason I was expecting more from "shiny" nylon/spandex (a typical swimsuit material), but it's a very soft, stretchy cotton material with a good quality weight that isn't too hot for a spring/summer dance but also isn't see through at all, heavy enough to look like it will hold up well in the wash and I'm not worried about sagging remains. Comfortable material is especially good for a preschooler going to their first dance class / not used to wearing dance costumes / "uniform" clothes…
