If the toe box was more square (shape of the foot) rather than pointed like stilettos and fitted true to size rather than 1/2 size smaller, that would be perfect. I'm still waiting for a company that cares for dancers' feet to make ballet shoes like Altra makes sneakers.

My daughter uses this type of shoe for her competitions and they hold up fairly well, the elastic wears out before the fabric tears on most canvas or canvas shoes will break even before it wears out.
