Wow! I was so impressed with the quality of this shoe! They have everything an expensive shoe would have. Rubber soles, metal treads with excellent sound, heel pads and elastic bands already in the lacing area. So don't be afraid of losing those tapes! I've been tapping since I was 4 years old, now I'm 50. I usually wear the Bloch On Tap style. Well I can't fit in anymore, they're too tight! So I ordered them half the size and wider! They fit perfectly! I'm so happy I screamed with happiness!

I bought them a size 4 because my daughter outgrew her size 3 tap shoes. The brand is the same, but the fourth size is actually smaller than the third. See photos. Now my 6 and 9 year old granddaughters want to learn to dance so I had to buy new shoes as my pretty silver ones no longer fit, although the kids love to play in them. I reviewed these shoes at a dance store before buying on Amazon. Tap dance prices on Amazon are surprisingly lower. I'm starting an adult tap dance class and just needed shoes to get started. These tap shoes are great for beginner tap dancers. Although the heel is quite low compared to high quality steppers, they are very soft and don't feel uncomfortable/tight in the toe and heel areas as is often the case with most poorly made steppers.
