This is the fourth item I have bought for my grandson. Excellent quality, warm coat. It's grown so fast that they have little time to wear out! They are given as a gift or given to a friend and I'm sure they will be passed on again and again due to the quality. The size chart shows an average size 8-10 but I ordered and received an average size 10-12. They are spacious and you can order one size smaller. That is my experience.

Received this 2 days after I bought it as a Christmas present for my grandson. He loved the ones I bought him 2 years ago and kept wearing them even though he had to pinch them to open them. I figured it would be cooler that early this year so it would be better to give it to him early. It was on as soon as it was out of the box. Proud as a peacock. Now I have to think of something else for him for Christmas.

I ordered size XL, it's made like Carhartt should be, blocks the wind pretty well, has kept me warm this winter, insulated pockets are very, very good. The Carhartt patch has a fabric feel, not leather, and it only has an inside pocket, not a zippered pocket. I can wear my hoodie underneath if I want or it works great on its own. I'm 5.5, my waist is 30 inches and I weigh 135, so if you're about this size, XL is the size you need.
