Keeps disconnecting

Works well sometimes but the USB port isn't good so it randomly disconnects no matter what cable you use with your phone.

No customer service

2016 Honda Pilot, works very well but was unable to update the key during installation. Also, when I first connect it, I get repeated annoying messages about what to do with the USB. I sent 2 notes to customer service and got nothing back. I like the product but I am not satisfied with their service.

Works great!

You must download the Autokit application from Carlinkit website, otherwise the key may not work. Once you install the app and plug the dongle into your car's USB port, it works instantly and very smoothly. Great deal for the price. And to think that I would buy an Apple Carplay key from BestBuy for $199.

Works well but is a bit buggy

I bought two of these and they are not perfect. The first one didn't sync to the music and started interfering, so I'm ordering a new one to see if that helped. I haven't done this, but it works about 95% of the time, which is better than nothing. Overall it's worth it if it means I'll have Apple CarPlay

Great addition to the Pumpkin Android Head Unit

This worked great with my aftermarket Pumpkin Android Head Unit. I used the main unit for 2 years before I bought it. When I rented a car last year, CarPlay was built in and I really liked it. This addition to my personal vehicle makes the experience so much better than the native Android OS functionality. It recognized the second device with no problems and connected to my iPhone every time.

Great product

Ok after long hours I was finally able to install it on my device. But for a better way to do it. I just went to the Carlinkit website, downloaded it to my computer, plugged it into a USB port and installed it on my device. Unless all other download links are dead or I don't know what's wrong. But this way works for me. He works like a champ. I put 4 because it's waiting in the wings.

Does what it's supposed to do

You can imitate a mobile phone and that's a good thing. The only downside is that you can't use the head unit's radio function if you're using that for navigation. Also, the music/podcast volume is pretty low even after the phone's volume is turned all the way up. This is useful if you just want to quickly launch Nav from your main device without plugging or connecting to your phone.

Fast shipping and quick response from seller

I received this carplay dongle in the package with the Android head unit I bought for my wife's car. The item was delivered quickly and the seller responded quickly to my request for the latest iOS 13 APK. I have received updated download information and instructions to install an updated key for the latest firmware. So far so good, I'll update my review if my wife has trouble using the key. The lack of time to use the key is the only reason I give this review 4 stars.
