🔨 Heavy Hardened Framing Carpenters Square: Precision and Durability at its Finest! Review

This is not a precision tool. As mentioned, the rule is not zero-aligned, so the measurements will always vary slightly from ours. I will adjust accordingly. I attribute this to poor quality assurance. It was good value so I agree you get what you pay for and it will do for my application.

This series is worth its price. It is clearly marked. Yellow marks on black are great for low-light areas. Seniors will really appreciate this line. It's a light, thin metal. It needs care, otherwise it will bend if not cared for. The same ruler in thicker steel would be great. Of course it will probably cost 50%+ more.

The square arrived quickly and was well packaged. The problem is that the square will vary from about 1/16" to 1/8" - the yellow ruler with dimensions was set too deep into the metal base during manufacture. Grids don't start from zero. Disappointing. I like the ruler's legibility, its weight, and its size. This would be one of my most used tools if it was more accurate. 1/8" is too much. I don't want to calculate an error every time I use it.

The display says: HEAVY DUTY This ruler is made of thin steel. Faint, wavy, for the first time I see a square ruler that can be bent with your fingers. The aluminum handle is also the first. It is attached to the ruler with aluminum pins. In addition, there were no burrs on the handle. Aluminum shards can't make me bleed, but why would I need shards or cuts. I had to file the edges. The yellow back and black letters are just gorgeous. Visibility is the reason I bought it.
