Carter P4603HD Rotary Vane Electric Review

Very well built very easy to install but what we bought we noticed a small leak on one side. We tightened it as tight as we could and it still has a tiny, tiny leak that we couldn't stop, but the fuel pump is a great buy.

I used this to polish diesel while cleaning some dirty tanks. It pumps about 1 gallon per minute but needs priming in my experience and draws fuel up to about 10 inches of mercury. As others have said it is 24v, noisy and comes with a 3/8 hose connector. I will set up a permanent place to clean up the fuel while the engines are not running. I've only used it for about 1000 gallons so the trial period is limited.

I purchased this item on February 19, 2013 and it arrived on time. But on August 5, 2013, the device failed. I contacted the manufacturer, Federal-Mogul, and was told that all warranty claims are handled through the retailer that Federal-Mogul credits. A Federal-Mogul representative informed me that all retailers must sign a contract. The contract stipulates that the dealer is responsible for warranty processing.
