I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong with the engine to find out it was that powertrain and there was almost no time. YOU BUY THIS PART, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WARRANTY

Worked great, repaired my 1999 Johnson 175. The cylinder fell and hit the plane. I replaced it and now it works great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the spark plug wires were too thick and I couldn't put the cap on.

Firstly my power supply was defective and this kit cost about the same as the power supply so I ordered it. The block and optical pickup were fine, but I couldn't use connector wires because the insulators were too thick to fit between the coil blocks. My wires were fine so I used them instead. I've run the boat with clutches only, but it seems to be working fine. I'm going to take the boat out this weekend just to be sure. If the cords of the plug fit, I would give 5 stars.

At the moment I can only say that everything is fine. After installation, the engine started and ran perfectly. I didn't have a chance to take it to the lake and do a real test. The last installation was at the dealer. He said it would take forever. I assume his idea of eternity is different from mine. My boat has an hour meter on both engines. The power supply he installed (same brand) lasted 66 hours. Is it really forever? I installed it to save 500€. Just take a look.
