Stellar Telescope Addition

This motorized telescope attachment greatly increased the accuracy of my astrophotography. The motors are incredibly smooth and the included software makes aligning and tracking a breeze. The build quality is top-notch and it’s compatible with other Celestron electronics. The only con is the price, but for serious astrophotographers, it’s worth it. .

Pros
  • High-quality optics and excellent edge-to-edge sharpness
Cons
  • Requires additional equipment for astrophotography, such as a camera and mount

All tools required are not included

Standard Phillips screwdriver and wrench Focus motor Unfortunately, point 2 of the installation guide says you must remove three screws from the Remove focus cover on telescope (I have a NexStar 6SE) Head There is a tiny H3 Allen key for these screws (for my scope). Luckily I had one of these. You will need to reuse the same screws to attach the focus motor mounting plate. Come on Celestron. I think almost everyone has a regular Phillips screwdriver, but MANY people don't have an H3 hex wrench.

Pros
  • Self-powered when connected to Celestron computer mount, mount provides power Connects directly to computer USB provides power
Cons
  • Available in black only
