Poor quality: Binoculars

Worked great at first. However, the inside has come loose, making it unusable. I didn't even get a chance to take her outside. The return period has passed and now I have expensive paper pulp. Don't buy them. Poor quality with no durability.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Poor packaging may have caused misalignment

The set appears solid and of good quality. However, they came inappropriately. I've had other binoculars so I know what to expect when looking through the eyepieces. I noticed that the product packaging was open in the shipping box, as if shifting during shipping might have caused the kit to push it out. The food was clearly not enough. I do not rule out that the set could be damaged during transport. I am returning them and buying them from the local shop as we need them for the whale watching

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Frequency

Great price for the binoculars

I work in law enforcement. Most of my observations have to be done discreetly and at a distance. Before the purchase I used Bushnell binoculars. They were helpful but when I received them I was very impressed with the quality and effectiveness of this product compared to others I have used. In terms of durability, I've dropped them in the included case a few times. No damage yet. As a precaution, I took out insurance for this product. As for focusing, it can be difficult to get focus right…

SO MUCH ABOUT TRADE NAMES. BAD!

Like some other reviewers, I chose these binoculars because of the Celestron name. I can't get them back in the return box fast enough either. Bulky and cheaply made. The zoom lever feels like it will break at the slightest pressure. And the pair I received might as well be MONOCULAR. The right side works adequately, but the left side is very muddy. Very disappointed. I have a couple of Tasco zooms that kick their ass. I thought I would upgrade. To die for. My Cheaper Tasco Is Much Better Now…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Low repairability

impressive quality for such cheap glasses

On this van trip I decided to think about getting better binoculars for my wife and I (kids get solid 10s as they are about to break go) Any scope that can show a sharp image beyond my ability to hold it steady with my hands alone is a more than adequate scope in my opinion. And these do just that. I could clearly see the mountain peaks of Yellowstone from miles away, and it was the thermal fumes that were distorting the view. I have a Celestron C8 telescope but I don't think they make more…

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • could have chosen a newer model

Worst Celestron binoculars

I bought these binoculars brand new but they arrived with two drops of lube in the left eyepiece. Luckily I was able to send it back to Revain and the replacement arrived about a week later today. The replacement arrived in excellent condition. But unfortunately, as already stated in many other reviews, I can confirm that the quality of the optics is below average: chromatic aberration, the right eyepiece is always blurred despite the setting, and at 30x magnification the image becomes dark and

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good versatile binoculars

For the first time with large binoculars. The price is great for the market, especially from a well known brand. The overall quality is good. Lies comfortably in the hand, nothing dangles. The zoom is really very good and gets very close. I'm worried that the zoom lever/mechanism might break after a few years. Other than that, it's great for me - the usual bird watching and hill climbing to see the city. The optics are generally not bad, but it is noticeable that the colors look a bit washed…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Pretty good binoculars for the price

I have to say I'm impressed with the quality of the optics in these Celestron UpClose G2 10-30x50 Zoom Porro binoculars! The collimation was a bit off so I had to adjust the prisms a bit but once adjusted the binoculars worked fine. I could only find one set of prism adjustment screws for vertical alignment, but I couldn't find any horizontal adjustment screws. Luckily I didn't have to adjust the prisms horizontally. Focus is a bit soft at the end of 30x, but that's not a concern as I can…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I doubt it

Very good for the price

I admit it. I wanted binoculars that would fit in the palm of my hand, be big enough for my eyes, allow me to see in the dark, and show me a fly on top of the Eiffel Tower. I had some 7x20 binoculars along with spotting scopes and hobby telescopes, but even at this late hour I grabbed a promised "40x" pair of binoculars that were actually 8x. Eventually I gave in to the realities of physics and settled on this very affordable pair from a reputable manufacturer, with a fairly standard 10x but…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

What did I pay for? The product is a complete failure.

1) x10 - clear, closer to x30 - so far it has not been possible to achieve clarity. a) so fixed x10 binoculars cost 2-3 times cheaper. 2) At a house 600 meters away from me, there is an ordinary satellite dish - a dish. At x10, I see a plate, what is written on it and in what color - I don’t see it. The same goes for x30. Well, it's like a zoom 3 times more than x10, so why is there no difference (except for the fact that at x30 the picture is not clear)? I understand that they are made in…

Pros
  • tripod adapter thread
Cons
  • 1) One plug per eyepiece keeps falling off. Given that it is not tied to binoculars in any way, as in other models - until the first exit into a field or forest - and look for it. 2) there are burrs on some details - as if they were done on the knee. 3) the first glance after opening - there is some kind of artifact in the lens. 4) put on a tripod, do not touch. At max x30 the picture trembles. Why did it happen?

The product is the most common, it could be worse.

In general, a good middle-class binoculars, for such a price it is stupid to demand a bunch of bells and whistles from it. The price/quality ratio is excellent. At the maximum magnification, you can read the headlines of announcements from 200 meters, car numbers from 400-500 meters. The kit includes plugs for eyepieces and lenses, a cloth, a shoulder bag, and a strap to hang around your neck. Given the weight of the binoculars, I don’t advise hanging it around the neck, it gets tired, and the…

Pros
  • Good magnification, aperture is normal (as if you look with your eyes, the same thing), there are no blackouts. The picture is really clear (see shortcomings for details). Low price. Pleasant to the touch rubberized body. Sharpness compensation on the right eyepiece. 10x magnification - the picture is perfect, then it slowly starts to distort and deteriorate.
Cons
  • To begin with, it is very difficult to achieve a clear picture in both eyepieces, maybe I'm not skilled enough, I don't know. First, bring a clear picture of the main one on the left, then compensate for the right eyepiece. very long. Everything was aggravated by the fact that at maximum magnification, the picture becomes parabolic, maybe because of the prism? After sharpening in both eyepieces, the picture is not so annoying with distorted forms, but it is clear, there is almost no chromatism, in contrasting places it gives off a faint blue. With a strong magnification, it becomes extremely difficult to use binoculars without support. You can’t see anything (hand trembling affects). a weak play of fastening the eyepieces to the central axis was found.
