I cannot praise the Chaco Z2 Cloud enough. I recently moved away from Birkenstock which still holds a special place in my heart but I can take these chacos anywhere there is water or mud (hiking, gardening, walking, dog bathing) and still get support for that arch of foot. Although I've never owned a pair of chacos or other "sporty" sandals, I'd rather try on a pair for summer than heavier trail or running shoes. I followed online recommendations for the Z Cloud/X2 and told them to size down as they tend to be large.
