The ratchet system does an excellent job of blocking. However, the material and buckle dig into my waist when sitting. And the material is very durable, which makes it uncomfortable.

I only sent the product back because of the thicker than expected buckle and the small release button, other than that it's a pretty perfect belt. Discussed for 3 weeks because I really liked the quality and the look. Excellent quality.

Great overall with belt. The buckle design is solid. It doesn't slip and has really amazing adjustment. The belt itself is well made and quite durable. Where the tape was cut, the material was heat sealed at each end to prevent tearing. The problem is that the melted material can feel sharp around the edges. I'm not sure if it can be improved much. Gift quality packaging but the product is not personal enough for a gift as it is a very casual belt.

Some reviews indicate that the ratchet will slip if you bend over. I need to lose 50 pounds, mostly on my stomach, and the ratchet has never slipped. Have 3 belts in different colors and wear them all the time and you've had them for over two months now. Do not worry.
