Sandra Brown masterfully handles the many twists and turns of the story. Every time you think you know "who the fool is," you don't.

Each of the first four chapters is a separate story, making it difficult to follow. Things don't start to fall into place until Chapter 5. At this point it becomes clear that each of the main characters in each story was a heart transplant recipient at the same time/on the same day.
