Each of the first four chapters is a separate story, so it's hard to follow. Things don't start to fall into place until Chapter 5. At this point it becomes clear that each of the main characters in each story was a heart transplant recipient at the same time/on the same day. Miss Brown is one of my favorite books. But when I started reading I was so disappointed! It usually grabs me from the first page or at least the first chapter, but not this one. It seemed to me that he jumped from one topic to another and I just put it aside and forgot about it for a while.
