🐔 Accurate & Convenient: Charcoal Companion Reusable Poultry Button Thermometer Review

Every member of my family likes steaks that are cooked a little differently and my old grill is uneven in places so I decided to give these a try. I was a bit skeptical that this would work, but they were great! If you want to take the guesswork out of cooking steaks, they do a great job!

This is exactly what I wanted. I bought these for a friend who cooks almost anything to grill and he uses them on our steaks. Everyone wants their steak to be done, done, done or well done and we are all happy with the result. There are quite a few of them and they read right away, but I saw him leave them in a steak until he read what he needed.

I got these little bad boys because a family member had something similar and they worked and they were amazing! His steaks are always perfect. Unfortunately, the version I got here is disappointingly inaccurate. We've ruined more steaks with an inaccurate thermometer than ever before. I return to the method of time against a thermometer.

photo and description of my order was 4 buttons steak. I ordered 5 packs of 4 and only expected 20 steaks. Each pack contained 2 pieces of poultry and 2 pieces of steak. There is no option to contact the seller or ask for a replacement in the order options. So my only option is to return it. It's a shame because I know it's a good product. I only wish I could receive the items as described.

I've used them a few times and find them useful and pretty accurate in terms of 'done'. Actual temperatures on the dial only give a range of "rare", "medium-rare", etc. If you need accuracy, look elsewhere. - The rod is very long, I used to have styli like this with a much shorter rod. The long handle makes it difficult to ensure you're in the center of the meat, except for very thick cuts (more than 1 inch). Overall, for about $10, I'm happy.
