Unpredictable at best I had to replace this item because it literally didn't work when it arrived. The replacement process was easy enough, but the new one still sucks. Random charges. I only connected my Vita via the USB part and it works fine so it's not the Vita itself. The only reason it doesn't have a star is because they were so good at swapping and at least one of them works .

I returned this product because it was DOA and the bricked portion of this charger was making a lot of noise. The cord was a good length so I was looking forward to using this item. One thing that is noticeably different from the Sony unit that comes with the PS Vita and PSTV is that the building block of this product is very light, which I believe should be less than 25% the weight of the Sony chargers. I had high hopes for a great backup. Hope that helps.
