I mounted it on my windshield and it held my GPS well. My total driving time was 4 hours and I stopped it for a few hours while shopping too. It was a hot July day and I left it on the windshield to see if it would stay. It happened, so I'm very happy with the product. Time will tell if it will hold up over the years but it is a great product.

First of all, Charger City was quick to respond and honored the warranty - my mount broke the first two times. He collapsed again and did so for the 3rd time. And this is the last time I play around with this mount. I still have 1 year warranty but why would I need another one of these if it breaks? I bought this item in April 2020 (should be a clue right? - 2020?) anyway, then it broke in June, again in July and now in January 2021. Just not worth the hassle.

Broken at base after less than 4 months of use. It might have lasted longer in a smoother car, but hitting the end of a lever that was too long broke the clamping mechanism inside the base. I hung it on the dashboard instead of the windshield. , and even though the temps were between 30 and 90, he stayed on with no problems.
