Chef Craft 21389 Mesh Strainer Review

The only problem with this tea strainer is that the holes in the mesh are larger than expected, allowing some very small tea leaves to get through. Otherwise it seems to be of great quality.

Ordered 4" and 6" screens. Arrived in a soft blister pack and both screens were flattened. They should only be sent in one box to protect them from wrinkling.

The screen seems strong enough but the description is misleading as the product packaging says it's made in China not Canada which is why I bought it.

Don't believe what they say about quinoa rinse size! When it arrived I found the mesh wasn't thin enough and tested it to make sure. Quinoa was spilled everywhere from below.

This screen has a nice tight weave in the wire filter part which is what I was looking for. It is made of plastic and therefore has a limited lifespan. I think it costs a little more than I think, but maybe that's an opinion 😊

This strainer is tiny, but I probably didn't pay close attention to the dimensions as I should. It has some nice features, it's made of durable materials and handles the load well. I also like the little hooks on the sides. It fits in a small bowl and you can use berries etc for smoothies.

I fully expected this thin strainer from Revain to come in an envelope and it did. After reading that some people get shredded screen filters in envelopes I was prepared, but luckily mine only had a small dent in the screen that was easy to fix.
