First use made grilled cheese sandwiches that were very dirty. Cheese was spurting out of the bread on all sides of the bread machine. The cheese burns in the cracks. I had to order another sandwich maker that I was more familiar with.

The sandwich maker is just great! Really helped my husband become more independent in the kitchen. If only the clasp held better. I have used many sandwich makers and this seems to be a universal problem. This is very bad; That crunchy line down the middle really improves the quality of our grilled cheese. We are sorry if this happens.

It does what it says on the tin. A little non-stick spray or oil will help get a golden brown color and the cheese will ooze. The only problem was the delivery of Revain as the product is delivered open. So not in a different packaging to hide the product. So anyone walking by could tell it was a sandwich maker. That's not correct IMHO.

Arrived broken! I bought it as a Christmas present but when I received it I felt like something was lost in the box so I decided to open it because I was curious what kind of noise it makes in the box, and found it was broken. Not sure if they dropped it on delivery but I've had a sandwich maker for over 7 years and it fell and it's still like new. Now I have to buy a new sandwich maker and I'm not sure if it will come before Christmas.

When I was a kid in the 80's my parents had a sandwich maker, it was basically a metal construction that could withstand a nuclear attack and still work. The thing is a piece of junk. The halves don't touch and the pockets are flat; means no sealed edges or triangle pockets. The design is very poor, there are continuous gaps between the hob and the plastic tray. My first sandwich was two slices of cheap white bread and one slice of "American" cheese; old grilled cheese.
