Got this for my dad as a birthday present as he has a '55 Chevy. I would say you can't go wrong with the instructions. It has good information that you can find online, but like him I love the nostalgia of finding it in the manual.

There are only a few materials in this manual that I can really use as my 55 is fully equipped with modern mechanical, plumbing and electrical equipment. I knew that, but I still wanted the book, just in case it might help, just once or twice.

This is a gift for my son who owns a 55 Bel Air. He reports that turning wrenches on his child was a 100% valuable resource. The information in the manual pages helped to diagnose problems correctly and saved a lot of money that would have gone to body shops.

For 30 years my father has been trying to find the original manual for his car. Always complained that he could find the years before or after, but not that particular year. The original copies were a bit over my budget at Christmas, but knowing my father wanted it and more importantly because he wanted to redo it, I figured a reproduction would be better anyway. For the first time in a long time I saw him smile that wide, which was definitely needed. :)
