I was specifically looking for a straightener that was made in the USA and this one says Made in Houston Texas but now that it's arrived see I that Made in Houston it says on the box Texas, USA. Made in China. what he idk I have had this brand in the past and love it but I am deducting two stars for what I believe is false advertising. I like this one but I had another Chi that was better. Maybe because it's a tourist qi? The ceramic seemed better on my other one but considering the price I bought this one and it works fine. (Maybe it's not the real Chi. I'm not sure.) It's been knocked down a few times and it still works, so it must be pretty well done.

He pulled my hair out. Some strands out. Where the plate is on top that attaches to the rounded end piece of plastic, the plates need to be removed because they pull every time, so I'm sending them back.

Definitely no CHI. I am extremely disappointed! Pulled my hair out worse than my cheap flat iron! Sent back 5 days later.

Works great on thick hair that is difficult to straighten. I had a different, different brand and it almost didn't clean up. I used to work in a cosmetics store and everyone agreed that nothing compares to Qi. So true in this case! It heats up and doesn't pull your hair, so I don't understand the other reviews. I'm ordering one for my daughter because she just returned hers which didn't work properly.

I love the look of this flat iron but it doesn't work well with my hair. It's very light so it doesn't feel like it will hold up well but tugs on my hair afterwards. My hair looks good when styled but doesn't feel good when straightened.

I had a CHI iron, it lasted a year and a half to two years. I bought another one from Revain in August but used the old one as it was functional but not as "hot" as it used to be. This is the best rectifier I have ever bought! Definitely worth your money! It is excellent for thick or very curly hair. It's also super fast and I can straighten my long, thick, curly hair in less than 20 minutes! It also greatly reduces static electricity! All in all a great hair straightener and I can only recommend it!
