Excellent shape for baking bread.

I love using this pan to bake bread everyday. Even temperature transfer, no buckling, and solid construction make baking a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

It bakes well. Not sticky? nope

It seems very strong but it is NOT non-stick. One use and it baked on things I can't scrub off. Right angles don't help either - they're very hard to get with a square sponge. i will return it

Very good product. - Forms for baking

DO NOT wash in the dishwasher I threw them away when I got them to be cleaned. Immediately after removal, a few small rust spots were visible in the area of the seams. I cleaned them and now just wipe them down with a damp cloth. Since then there have been no problems.

Pros
  • understandable also old

  • sad packaging

Usual excellent Chicago Metallic quality.

These pans were ordered based on recommendations from Josey Baker's Bread. I have several other loaf pans but they are slightly larger and too big for the recipe I used. As with other Chicago Metallic pans I've owned, they're nice and heavy, excellent quality, and both loaves of bread fell out easily with no rattling or loosening. In fact, I was surprised at how easy it was and almost missed the refrigerated section because I started flipping the first loaf pan before placing the bread on theโ€ฆ

I like these

I like these because it makes you feel more professional. But. Guess what? I made a batch of 6 loaves and put three in my $1 Ekco pans and three in this one. I've done this several times. If I can tell the difference, the $1 Ekco pans give a more even color and don't burn the corner or rim. In fact, I now prefer my light steel Ekcos to these darker pans, and I prefer plain little Ekcos to "professional" pans. I'm not going to throw them away, though. Very disappointed, they don't make much of a

Baker's delight! on pans for bread

Frying pans are excellent! I ordered two of these and both arrived in perfect condition. I've used them a few times to bake different types of bread and they've worked well. The nonstick coating is very good, but I still apply a light coat of nonstick spray just to be sure. Washes up easily in the sink, I've never put them in the dishwasher. As with all such nonstick items, I only use plastic or Teflon cookware. If you're looking for standard sized thick bread pans, this is for you. Noteโ€ฆ

Sheets for serious bakers

The high prices and poor quality of store bought bread made me want to bake all our loaves myself. I used to do that but stopped. Meanwhile, I gave away my good bread pans, two large granite pans left over from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The only pans I had were either smaller than I wanted or lightweight aluminum, so I decided to treat myself to these Chicago Metallic beauties. I love her. The heavy weight and darker color browns the bottom crust of the bread well, which lightweightโ€ฆ
