Serves its purpose. The clips we use to release it from its locked position are very difficult to grab and are very small, making them difficult to remove even for adults.

This is a great set of cabinet locks for children. I actually had to buy these to keep my cat out of my closets lest she make him take apart my lego blocks. They work well, except he can still reach under the closet a bit, stick his paw under the closet, and wave his paw to try and get some lego bricks. Overall I'm happy with these castles, as are my Lego sets. They are very easy to mount on the handles of a vertical cabinet.

This was the second set of baby locks I've bought from Revain - the first (sticky tape) didn't work with our cupboards at all! At first I refused to buy them because they are visible but I'm so glad I did. They are easy to put on and take off and are very effective - our cats have never climbed into their feeder since we put them on! (Yes, we bought them to keep cats out of closets, not kids.) They're durable, I think they'll last, and the looks don't really bother me at the moment.

I'm amazed at how well they're doing. I bought them for child protection in my house when my first son was born and never took them off. They keep my 5 year old away from cleaning supplies, medicines, sharp or breakable objects in the kitchen. They are great and do what they were designed to do, which is to keep a curious child from getting into your closets. They're cheap and hold up well. I can take them off and put them back in immediately, although my mother and wife sometimes have problems. I don't think the problem is with the locks themselves, but with the way they do it. Bought these to use in my father's and husband's homes when we visit them. They're so easy to install and you can take them with you when you're done. I think they work better with handles than handles. There have been several instances of cabinet handles not locking properly and my 16 month old was able to pull it off and put it in a cabinet under the sink in my dad's kitchen.
