Excellent paper for beginning artists

Excellent pack of 15 sheets of watercolor paper. My daughter is starting to use watercolor as her favorite color and she likes to use special paper just for watercolors. This paper is ideal for any wet painting technique she will use.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Ideal for base paper

This watercolor paper has excellent performance. The A4 size is slightly different than what you often see in the US, but this isn't a problem for most artists. The feel of the paper and the watercolourability are very good. Not a super premium product, but also a very good price.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Expensive

Wonderful paper pen and ink, though.

Not for everything. Fine paper for fine work, pen and ink. I like the subtle texture of this paper but was disappointed when I applied the wash to it. The paper is thick and heavy. When I first used a watercolor blue sky fill on a landscape, I noticed the same bulge and wave as on the lower quality paper. It's like watercolor paper that can't resist water

Pros
  • A smooth side and a textured side.
Cons
  • Brief instructions

Hello, my two daughters were very happy with the quality of the Chromatek paper and the set of 54 Chromatek watercolor pencils that I bought them as a gift. What they really enjoyed were the 7 free online tutorials on how to use Chromatek watercolor brush pens on Chromatek watercolor paper, which is very thick (300gsm) and totally acid free. Not a single show that surprised me. Hello KevinBorg.

Pros
  • Designed to work with all water based paints, glazes, gouache and acrylics.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Subtle but a bit odd

So I usually expect my cold press paper to have a certain type of teeth. This paper. one side feels like a hot press and the other side (which appears to be the back as it is in the pad?) has TOO STRONG texture - like it's weird. That being said it's thick enough not to warp if you get really wet, it works well as hot press paper - I just did. Do not use hot press paper. The over-textured side is pretty fun for effects, but it's also over-textured for most of my work. So, all in all, if you…

Pros
  • Reduced absorbency and improved texture allow for longer blending and cleaning.
