Affordable but functional Chromebook

Bought during the Black Friday Sale. Great upgrade for my C300. Same chassis but with a larger screen, lighter weight, better hinge, and better inputs. I like the two USB-C inputs for charging. More than enough for the average Chromebook user. The only complaint is that the trackpad "clicks" when used, but most of the time I use an external mouse. Time will be the real test of build quality, but for now this is an easy recommendation for most Chromebook users.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Great for the price

I've been looking for a good cheap laptop or chromebook for my wife for a long time. All she does is watch Netflix and shop online. He's perfect for all of that. The screen quality is better than the reviews I've seen. Also, the speaker is on the bottom of the device, which is good for them, but just wanted to point out if that bothers anyone. I can't stress enough that the price of this Chromebook is amazing. Plus, it looks and feels like a Mac, so that's another plus!

Great budget Chromebook

I love this PC. I have a 14 inch and have no problems with it. It runs very fast and smooth, better than any Windows device I've had. I have a more powerful desktop computer for gaming. I don't really watch anything on my computer because I have TVs, Firesticks, Roku, PS4, etc. I'm a writer and that's basically all I use laptops for. Most of my computing tasks are web-based, I've been a heavy user of Google's office suite for years, social media is easily accessible, and the Chromebook Discord…

The display (non-touchscreen model) is terrible!

I always like to start with something positive and I will. Overall the device looks great, the size is perfect, the keyboard feels good and the performance seems more than adequate. Asus seems to have done a good job of making a budget Chromebook that will suit most people. Where they missed the boat was great time to see. It was so blurry and grainy that I'm not entirely sure if the model I received is fine. If that display quality is indeed part of their specs and design, then I urge you to…

Not met initial high expectations *** Updated ***

We have been an active Chromebook family for many years and have never had a problem with it until now. Bought an Asus C423NA for one of my kids for Christmas. However, after about 2 weeks it started turning off (with battery >80%) until it stopped turning on. No problem, I thought. Ultimately, we are all bound to encounter some issues with the technology. Revain took care of the exact replacement of the element very quickly. Unfortunately, the second showed the same problems after 2 months.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I bought this and HP 14 at the same time on the best day. They were identical in price. I ended up sending it back and leaving HP. I have some loyalty to the ASUS brand and some unrelated negative feelings towards HP (they bought Compaq and killed the TRU64!). I REALLY wanted this ASUS Chromebook but had to return it. My requirements and comments were: - inexpensive (on the go and don't want to worry too much about theft or damage) o - both Chromebooks were tethered and acceptable - simple…

Just fantastic! for computers and accessories

In addition to the reviews here, I have read several reviews about this laptop online; Based on them I expected to be satisfied but not thrilled. Not the case at all! The keyboard is superb, the computer feels premium and very durable. Some people have complained about the trackpad's "roof," but honestly the way it's designed feels like an intentional (and pleasant) tactile touch, not a bad design. it's just me It gives the impression that it is easy to press with a finger and not with force…
