Definitely easier than old school soldering

I have enough experience soldering RG6 and similar cable connectors. It's not difficult, but it takes time. These swivel connectors work the same way as soldered connectors and are much easier and quicker to install. I use coax gaskets and solder joints to weatherproof the connection.

Too heavy to screw on

They were almost impossible to screw onto the RG6 cable we just bought. It took me an hour to fuck two. The screw diameter at the end is too small. As a result, I had to cut off part of the plastic cover to make it fit. This happened after a blister formed on a finger. You may need to wear gloves, but I've used screw connectors in the past and it only took about 20 seconds to attach.

They will not work with quad shield RG6 cable

They will not work with quad shield RG6 coaxial cable. The cable diameter is simply too large to screw into these connectors. You might fit double shielded RG6 cable but I doubt it. They only "kinda" fit onto a quad shielded cable by cutting off all of the wire braid that needs to be removed but fits in the connector, as well as cutting off some of the cable's outer protective covering. I doubt that double shielded cable is much thinner than quad shielded cable.

It's pretty easy to install.

It didn't solve my problem for me. I have a badly worn cable in my 20 year old RV and it has more breaks than I could find. Now I need to run a new cable through the wall to complete the installation. Although it was difficult working in the upper cabinet to strip the wire and prep it for this plug, my wife was able to do it like a pro. I would hire her any day. Make sure your cord is the right size for the plug you are purchasing. My RG59 is probably very outdated. In any case, a new race with

Easier to use than crimp crimp tool

Want to rewire some of the coax running around the house buy a crimp crimp tool set to re-terminate some ends and I've had no luck with that. . I'm not sure what I did wrong, but all the ends I crimped didn't stay. Other than that I had no problems with this coax end, got it the first time. Again, with its spiral design, it's almost impossible to screw up. I had a problem starting, but once the tracks had enough outer coverage, embedding went smoothly. The connection seemed pretty secure, but…
