Mediocre sound quality

I wish I could say more, but I'm still looking for a cordless phone system with superior sound clarity and volume. It's not like this. I had to return it in the return window. Now I'm stuck with it.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Essential for the elderly.

To be attached to another room. An elderly aunt should hear the callers. This system solved their problem. She likes to carry it around in case she falls. She needs a stretcher for this purpose and then hopes she doesn't fall on it. Maybe a way to hang it around your neck.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • obsolete

Really helps deaf seniors

Bought this phone for my 82 year old mother who is very hard of hearing. First they bought an answering machine and two phones but needed a third to have one in the bedroom. The "Amplify" feature really helps as it's very hard to hear on the phone.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Low volume, bad battery

Used for an elderly person but bad on arrival. It turned out that after later purchasing the base when it was plugged in on March 2nd 2020 it turned out to be bad and too late to return. The battery dies after 10 minutes and the speaker is too quiet even with amplification to hear well, especially for the elderly. Buy elsewhere. The handset sold with the base phone is great! Combined package. If you want to buy here, make sure you try and get the base unit right away.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Will NOT work with an E814 base unit.

See previous review. They will not work as advertised with the E814CC base unit. I've tried two replacement phones from two different vendors and they do NOT sync to the base unit as advertised. They might work with a different base unit (I think it's a 702?) but NOT the E814. I had to send both back. I even went through the setup process with the supplier over the phone and it didn't work.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

The device has no pairing problems if you follow the instructions.

The device has no pairing problems if you follow the instructions published by "DA Kelly on September 16, 2016” press the wired phone for 5 seconds and then short press the #- button on the extension tube. (Don't hold the # key - just press and release) Voila!' THE PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS COMING WITH THE DEVICE ARE COMPLETELY WRONG on how to pair with the base (slightly shocked, Plantronics (dem which Clarity owns) doesn't know more about this fact.) I did what Kelly listed above and it took about

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Was damaged

Very disappointed and confusing manual

I know it's my fault but I was helping an elderly friend buy a new phone. She is visually impaired. I was looking for a telephone for the hearing and visually impaired with a table base and telephone sets. I confused caller id with speaking caller id. It wasn't until the phone arrived and was set up that we realized it didn't have the Talking Caller ID feature. My question is how can you list a phone as good for the hearing/visually impaired with this feature on most phones these days and not…

Pros
  • Full set
Cons
  • Empty
