I bought a similar brush/applicator cleaner from a local discount store a while back. This works really well to clean up my brush between shades of eyeshadow. And the brush I use for blush is good too. Unfortunately, when I decided I needed a replacement part, they weren't stocked at my local store, so I was happy to find one here. I really like these brush cleaners but my replacement sponges were much smaller than the original sponge which came in a metal box so I couldn't put spares in a metal box. That was fine because the sponge itself does its job, but it would be a lot more convenient if all the sponges were the same size. The sponges are easy to clean and cleans my eyeshadow brushes really well just before I use a different shade.

I originally rated it pretty high because it cleans brushes well. The biggest problem was that the sponge was loose when you try to rotate the brush. Which is annoying but works. I recently swapped out my native sponge for a new one. Replacement jaws are half the size. They cannot be used unless you cut off a few pieces to try and fill the jar. Outside of time, you don't get what you thought you were getting or what the product appears to be.
