These things are way better than broken plastic. They came with mounting screws and for the most part were pretty easy to install with a drill.

Solid product. Haven't installed it yet but will be a lot better than the plastic parts it replaces. Screws are included, but you'll likely need wall anchors for installation unless you can screw them directly into the wall studs.

Well, they help stabilize the barbell in the closet. And even when my foster child threw a tantrum and tried to yank them off the wall, they stayed in place like little white plastic champs. So if you mount them properly I would say they will withstand any storm.

It is recommended to use 3/4'/8' screws that go through the stud or block behind the wall. I ended up using the anchors I had on hand. 1" screws would work for me due to a blockage behind the wall, but the included screws are useless if you expect the hanger to be weighed down.

Whoever said the 1 5/8 inch bar wasn't good for this, they're full of them. I tried very hard to order a replacement socket from another manufacturer but to my surprise these things fit and are not too tight with some wiggle room. I love that it's metal and I knew it would stand up to the rod I use to store jackets and sweaters in my closet. The only thing I didn't like is that the screws break easily, so I recommend reducing the drill torque to 3, but no more, and adjusting accordingly.
