Handle isn't wood - Seam ripper

I paid a bit more for this seam ripper because it looked like the handle was made of wood, but it's actually plastic. It will do the job, but not as pretty as I thought this tool could be.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • change

Still sharp and feels good

Works well, bought this a few months ago and it's still sharp. I have to use it quite often unfortunately for me haha! The long handle is good. I like that it has a wooden texture so it doesn't slip out of my hand like I have with the little plastic handle.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Annoying

Unacceptable item for sewing

Item was out of original packaging and someone spilled coffee on faeces. I don't appreciate getting a used item for the same price as a new one. Please inform your customer if the item has been returned and is not in the original packaging. This is absolutely unacceptable for me!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other selections

My Favorite Sewing Tools

This has always been my favorite ripper. The handle is comfortable, doesn't look cheap and, most importantly, it's ideal for working with details. As you can see in the picture, the working end is smaller than the standard ripper. This allows it to penetrate smaller gaps more easily than a conventional seam ripper. It's sharp and dependable and is great for all types of stitches, but when it comes to removing fine hand stitches and embroidery stitches, you can't beat the Clover's small brown…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Neutral

Used item? Not like in the photo.

Not sure if item has been used or repackaged. The item arrived individually shrink-wrapped and NOT in the original manufacturers packaging as stated in the item listing. It may be a diverted item or an item purchased outside of the normal supply chain. I suspect this is not an authorized seller of Clover items or it could be counterfeit. Given the value of the item, it is not worth returning. Item is small as described so if handling and ergonomics are your concern I would look here for this…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

Nice and sharp but a bit small and easy to lose cap

I think it will easily get lost in hands as it is quite small and doesn't matter. This is good for me because it takes up very little space in my sewing kit. However, if you suffer from arthritis or limited mobility, you may benefit from a more robust design. You have to put it somewhere and hope you don't lose it. Otherwise fast and crisp. It's not the kind of tool you'd want to own, but it's more than enough for a starter kit.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Damaged

Works very well, comfortable to hold and use.

I like that this ripper has a nice big handle and a nice sharp point. Because it's bigger, it's easier to hold on to and I'm less likely to lose it. I've lost a few smaller ones in the past. I have found this ripper to be excellent for regular sewing projects with regular stitch lengths such as B. with the setting 2.0 of my sewing machine. Cons: When I try to undo the staple for a paperclip project with a stitch length of say 1.4 or 1.6, I find that the ripper isn't good enough and I really…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
