excellent product suitable for sewing tools

Comfortable fit, helps to embroider for a long time. They help me pick up needles and stay on my fingertips. These are not thimbles, too soft for that.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • No power

Ideal for hand quilting!

I knit by hand and these flexible thimbles are the best I've bought in a long time! They saved my fingers and helped me make a photo quilt much faster than without them. They are much more comfortable than hard thimbles. You can't pierce the needle with them because the back of some needles is sharp and can go through them, but you can easily grab the needle with them to pull through.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Only intended for gripping - not a real thimble

The thimble protects the fingers when pressing needles. They save you from getting stuck with a needle. Neither - it ONLY improves needle grip. Even when I assembled two sticks from this set, they were very thin and the needle could easily pass through them. They are sold as thimbles, but that's not what they're designed for. They're great for grappling, but only for that, not for defense.

Pros
  • even old people understand
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great grip for hand quilting!

I've tried other rubber pads but they are slippery silicone that just slides on. Clover currently has the best gripping thimbles that help guide the needle through the fabric. It's thick enough to protect against small accidental stitches. I still use this combo with a metal thimble on my other finger for pressing. But for pulling and smooth lateral pushing, the grip is excellent. I use it for hand quilting and it's great.

Pros
  • Thimble
Cons
  • Something different

Not a thimble but good grip

I used them to hold the needle better. I am knitting a sheep onto a pillowcase using fine yarn and French knots. Sometimes the needle is difficult to pull out, so they helped me a lot to hold the needle. They sit on my fingers and stay in place. They are thin enough not to impair dexterity. However, they are not thick enough to be used as thimbles. The end of the needle easily goes through these "thimbles" when used as a traditional thimble.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for arthritic hands

As a seamstress with arthritis in my hands I've had a lot of trouble getting the needle through fabric lately. Since sewing is my therapy I was very concerned that I would have to give it up, but I found them and can't believe how effective they are. It's exactly the support I needed. If you have strength problems or arm pain while sewing, try these. They are affordable and effective. A tip: have a large bag or box ready for them so you don't lose them. I put them in a small plastic bag andโ€ฆ
