Sticky Beater Fiasco

Using this product our team found that the anti-stick coating doesn't work as advertised. We had to continuously stop and scrape off the paste-like dough, which made our baking experience frustrating. The only pro was that it did fit onto our KitchenAid mixer. Save yourself the trouble and invest in a higher quality beater..

Pros
  • Easy to clean due to the non-stick coating
Cons
  • Prone to scratching, which can affect its longevity

This is not plated stainless steel as advertised.

Although it claims to be nylon coated stainless steel, it is nylon coated aluminum just like the original KichenAid part. (I wasn't expecting this, although he claimed it was.) The nylon cover can be washed in the dishwasher, but it tears (especially near the faucet attachment), dishwasher water gets on the aluminum, it reacts and peels off the nylon. (This is the fourth mixed-coated spatula I've had in 30 years.) So I hand wash it anyway so it lasts longer. Tip: If it were really stainless…
