Great Cable!: Network Antennas

Excellent quality cable, very dense and very low loss. I had to install an external antenna on the ESP32 board. I get the best signal with this cable and an 8dB antenna that I used over the onboard antenna.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Will be added later

Great extension cable

This cable has allowed me to extend my Mighty Mule 572's antenna from where it attaches to the control box to a few inches above my 6 foot wooden gate. Remote control range increased from 15 feet to over 100 feet. Fiction!

Pros
  • that even old people can understand
Cons
  • confused

Replace the standard coax cable with this

Replaced the cable that comes with the BTech U-25 amp. Doesn't matter. This cable is good and thick like PL-259. Sturdy plug and nut for a secure connection to the radio. Broadcasts sound much better! I run about 30-40 watts on GMRS.-JonathanWRCV263

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Might work well for you for network antennas

Well made cable but the IP camera I was trying to connect it to had a smaller center jack than expected for this cable and this resulted in the plug in the socket returned. I don't know what was wrong, the cable or the camera.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • So-so

Stronger Signal for Computers and Accessories

This RG58 cable is 16ft 4in long and I measured 1.96dB at 900MHz and 3dB at 2.4GHz 0.4dB. For comparison, I measured the much thinner RG174, which was only 10 feet long and lost 2.95dB at 900MHz and 4.77dB at 2.4GHz. This cable is worth the money if you need to increase your signal strength.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Very impressive.

I am very happy with it. Bought for radio amateurs. I was able to use this on both of my APRS setups via Boafang UV-5. I was able to connect perfectly to the APRS network! I also used my Yaesu FT-70DR and connected to WIRES-X with no problems and was able to speak and receive. I didn't check my SWR but I suspect it didn't affect the cable because I was able to get a clear connection to different stations. I like it.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

This purchase was for a specific use case. It was used to assemble the NMO antenna mount by cutting one end of the cable and soldering it directly to the thick Laird NMO mount. I've been in the 12 volt electronics trade for over 27 years so I'm not new to soldering, electrical repairs, etc. Resistor. Everything looked fine so I installed it in my car, hooked up the antenna and checked my SWR. I was amazed when I saw 11:1 on VHF and 19:1 on UHF on the meter. I even tried multiple antennas and…
