The mattress pad felt thick enough for my trip across the ocean. Based on reading previous reviews I gave it a day to exhaust and that was fine as I knew that was to be expected. What a pity the zipper broke on the first try to zip it up. Thus, it is no longer reusable and is only used once. Feels wasteful. I just had to seal it with tape to transport it along with the rest of my belongings.

I kept our expensive organic crib mattress in this bag and placed it under the guest bed in our basement. Our pipe is leaking. in the wall, causing water to seep into the room and soak most of the carpet. Water got into the bag and ruined the mattress. It looked good in use and probably protected the mattress from dust and odors, but not water. I would look for another product or way to store the mattress for your crib if you are concerned about this.

Sofa and our small lying box are only suitable for back cushions and back cushions. I looked everywhere for some sort of clear pouch to hold the bottom two but couldn't find anything big enough. I saw an ad for a queen size moving suitcase and got the idea to look for a crib size zippered suitcase. It works PERFECTLY. We have 2 cushions 24x27 and they fit really well and I can tuck them under the sofa and keep them out of the way.

I bought this to protect the crib mattress that dogs use. Even though the mattress can be wiped clean, it still absorbs odors so it lasts longer. It's a thick vinyl, a bit stiff but very easy to put on a mattress, fits a 4 inch mattress well with room for a thicker one and the zipper works well. Soft canvas I made for this to keep my toenails from cracking but if they damage them within a month I will update my review. I would buy this again. And I need some for all our other mattresses.
