They Work For Me - Sewing Supplies and Supplies

When it comes to sewing at home, we each have our own preferences. I use a thimble sometimes, but for hand sewing and appliquΓ© topstitching I prefer these thimbles; they give me more "mobility" when sewing and laying out pieces of fabric. I would like to find an adhesive to use when the original wears out as the pads themselves hold up well.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

They are great: Sewing

I've been using them for a few years now. I could never get used to the metal thimble. I used leather but could wear the fingertip area from the pressure of the needle. This product is great. The item can be thrown away after repeated use and exchanged for a new one. The glue lasts a few times and the finger guard is as good as a leather thimble. Also, you can place them wherever you want.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Durable workhorse pads!

These are the only thimbles I've tried Doesn't bother me when I'm doing cross stitches. They stay where I put them until I take them off and they are strong enough to protect my finger from painful needle sticks! The same pillow can be used multiple times. Notice the two darker pads in the top left corner of the image. These are two pads that I have used and used repeatedly and are still sticky. I just wish there was more in the pack.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

When I first put the thimble on my finger, I expected it to come off with use. To my surprise, it stayed in place after a few hours of use. I have reused the same thimble up to 6 times. Very impressive! I like this thimble more than any I've tried and I've tried several others. I will be buying more and have told my family and friends to buy this product. Great find!

Never prick with a needle! Amazing product

These are the BEST lined thimbles. I've tried silicone and the eye of the needle goes through them once you apply a little pressure. I hand quilt and sew all of my bindings so I use them several times a week. I've never had a single flat tire, plus they're comfortable to wear. Silicone protrudes further (they are thicker) and gets in the way. These made of leather do not bother. They are great, I hope they never stop making them.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
