Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can confidently say that this cross-stitch kit is a headache from start to finish. The stitching is uneven and the colors bleed, making the final product look like something a child made during craft time. The only positive is the size of the finished product, but that's hardly worth the frustration. Save yourself the trouble and pick a different kit.

What a high-quality set! The thread is real DMC and does not bleed. The fabric has sewn edges to prevent fraying. The sample booklet is divided into 9 sample pages, but is easy to read. There's even a guide that reminds me of some of the stitches I forgot. I'm almost half done after (cough) 5 years. but I LOVE working on this project. I highly recommend these sets. I will come back in about ten years to buy my next item.

I have bought ten counting cross stitch kits in the past. Eight of these are finished/worked out, two (including this one) are being worked on. This is by far the best set. Usually, a large template page was printed separately on nine 8/11.5 pages, the grids of which are easy to read. All pages and instructions were bound in a comb-bound booklet.
