Excellent belt in belt

I bought this for my father there are 3 belts like this one. (All different colors) He always has trouble with regular straps with holes because of his big belly always too loose or too tight, that's perfect because it's adjustable without holes and it also stretches a little. Great gift.

Avoid this junk - belt

First use: unwind belt, remove plastic protective film from metal, thread belt through loops on pants, put belt in buckle, and then move the pin to the closed one Position. The metal pin broke into 2 equal pieces instantly, silently and cleanly, just like other bad reviews describing the same thing here. I have had Columbia products in the past and they were/are quality items but this belt is not good. I opted for a new belt instead of a refund. I know. Surprisingly however. A replacement belt…

  • Don't waste too much time

A simple belt that DOESN'T WORK!

I bought this belt (and another one exactly the same in a different color. It had the name Colombia on it so I thought it must be good. WRONG! First of all, it's not) easy Cut to the right length. It's a matter of trial and error. DO NOT cut too much at once or you will end up with a belt that is too short. But Deadstone is a simple mechanism that fastens a belt once it's in place and has been around for decades or more. But in this iteration it doesn't work properly. It's a simple little…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Metal hinge broke after a short period of use

Metal hinge broke after 5 times light use making it unusable (strap does not hold). Columbia is supposed to be an outdoor activities brand and I wanted to take them on a real hike. But the 5th time I put it on - always light use, no active use yet (no hiking or anything yet), it broke (see photo). It's basically been sitting in my closet for a couple of years with 1 or 2 uses a year so that's really an issue. A complete junk, shame on Columbia - so glad it broke before the actual ride otherwise
