Columbia Women's Mighty Emerald Small Clothing and Coats, Jackets & Vests Review

This is my favorite vest style. It fits close to the body and is longer than any of my other vests so there is no draft in the back. Wearing a hoodie underneath works well too as the collar is small.

After reading other reviews about how well it fits I decided to order a small, not a very small. I'm 5'4, 110 pounds with a small frame. Too bad I ordered a very small one. This is a good vest and I like the long length but a smaller size would be preferable.

I'm writing this review in hopes of helping another girl my size. I usually wear a size 16/18 and size XL and sometimes XXL depending on the brand etc. The previous 2XL vest I bought was very tight around my hips. This 2XL size from Columbia fits perfectly. I can close with plenty of room in the chest (42D) and hips. I can sit comfortably even with a zipper. As for the heat, I think it's great! Also like the secret little inside pocket.

Columbia should stock XXS. If you are a tall person this is a truly amazing vest. Very light and very warm. The color is very nice - worthy of a compliment. But for a small person, it will be about 2 inches lower than shown in the photo and still a bit big. I left it for the color and functionality, I just wanted it to fit better. As they say, pay attention to the price! I bought it for $48. I don't think I would spend $90 on a vest!

I am very happy with the vest and the fit. I was a bit concerned about some of the other fit reviews. I'm 5ft 3in, 112lbs, chest 32DD. The XS fits me perfectly but not too tight. It is also very light and therefore ideal for outdoor activities. That overall warmth should really work. I don't know what all the fuss about the collar is either. It's AMAZING! This vest is my lifesaver in winter! I live in Michigan and winter is one thing. I already wear a down jacket every day, but I have a hard time staying warm because my coat doesn't fit snugly to my body. Incredibly light and yet warm – the reflective inner material is the latest technology in action! LOVE this vest. Bought 4 pieces in 3 different colors. The vest is sewn very nicely - not too tight, but not too loose. The picture is very accurate. They are also very easy to wash - I throw them in cold water and tumble dry them. I have different sets of vests/jackets/coats for each season. OKR. In autumn and spring I wear thin Tek Gear with down filling. When it arrived it was slightly thinner than these.
