I chose this particular comb because I have arthritis in my fingers and used a genuine ACE comb before the company was sold. is commercially available not the rubber that the ACE combs are made of and therefore they don't feel that great on my scalp I can use this comb with no problem.

This is NOT a hard rubber comb. The comb itself says it's made of hard rubber, but the back of the packaging says it's made of a thermoplastic, which has the properties of hard rubber. Hard rubber doesn't shine, and when you pull your finger you don't hear a dull vibration, but the bright, more resonant sound of thermoplastic. As such, it doesn't have the characteristics of a hard rubber and I would expect the teeth to come loose soon enough.

Based on the Ace hard rubber comb my mother has used my whole life (45 years old) I hoped that he long lasts at least a decade. Unfortunately, just before the 5 year mark, he lost 3 prongs last month. I'm tired of throwing away broken plastic stuff so I'm looking at metal options now.
