I found this product NOT worth the nearly $300 I paid for it. It's just cheap. No switch, just "wait" and ON. The big disappointment was that there was no latch on the phonograph mount to secure it. The speakers were also cheap and sounded like metal. My advice would be to buy a product other than this one. I don't think you could find anything more embarrassing. I purchased this item as an upgrade to my previous Player sound system. I also bought improved needles. I am happy. The sound is much fuller. The player and CD player have clear stereo sound. The tuner is disappointing. It only picks up the strongest stations, not FM stereo. The tuner disc does not light up and the station display is very difficult to see. The speakers have decent sound for their size, but the connection cables are short. Overall I'm satisfied but it's not a good block for kids
