Faulty Black Ink - Printer Doesn't Recognize

I bought this kit but one of the black inks didn't work. No matter how I tried, my printer didn't recognize it. So I swallowed the bullet and opened the second pack of black ink and then my printer recognized it. Although cheap, it stinks that the ink isn't recognized and I'm out of black ink right now.

Good Product - Printer and Accessories

Rare. These inks work great and I've had almost no issues that I've experienced with other brands of ink. This color works much better. Received the item on time and exactly as pictured! Great prices for a great product. These products have never let me down. I researched a few different brands and read the reviews. Much cheaper and just as good. We carefully opened the cartridges and the ink didn't spill. I will buy this brand again!

Works with Brother MFC J497DW

Fits Brother MFC J497D. I doubted it would work as there were almost no reviews. So I'll add my two cents. I just bought a Brother MFC J497DW printer from Best Buy for $59 and we were trying to set it up with these cartridges. I wanted to check if they are compatible because I need a printer that accepts 3rd party inks and if not I still have time to return the printer.
