Works great with Oculus Link but tough

Cables fit PCVR on Quest 2. Thought I'd like the L shaped plug but if you have headphones plugged in you can't plug them in a certain way. The cable wires themselves are sturdy, so be prepared to fiddle with them while playing. But the length and price are worth it. I can easily walk from my bedroom to the kitchen.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

reads USB 3.0 instantly for Oculus Quest 2

Plugged in my Quest 2 and it reads USB 3.0 instantly. Basically I banged my head against the wall trying to get USB 3.0 to work on Oculus. The other cable I bought claiming to be 3.0 didn't work so I didn't want to buy this one but it works great for Oculus. The cable seems to be of really good quality and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Quest Link cable!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works like an Oculus connection cable

The cable works well allowing me to play PCVR games on my Oculus Quest 2. Build quality seems pretty solid, the braided finish is nice, and the USB c end sits snugly on my headset so you don't accidentally disconnect. I have nothing bad to say about this cable at the moment - it does exactly what it's supposed to do when I plug it in. If this changes and the cable fails I will update my review.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost never

Works well with Quest 2

Cable is tough but works. At 20 feet, this is the longest right angle USB-A to USB-C 3.0 cable I've found for use with the Quest 2. This USB cable has been tested at 2.3Gbps in Oculus settings. I was able to play Fallout 4 vr and Half Life Alyx with maximum game graphics settings, 1.4x supersampling and 90Hz on Oculus. I can't tell if all the cables work as well, but the one I've gotten has been great so far! I'll update my review if I have any issues with it over the next few months. Hope this

It's not clear what the problem is.

Quest 2. Unfortunately Oculus Link does not work using this cable. The quest doesn't even appear as a disc. Not sure if it's the cable, the fact that I have a GTX 1060 which may not be supported, or just some other issue with the computer. Bit the bullet and ordered an Oculus cable but it hasn't arrived yet so I still don't know what the problem is. . The regular Oculus cable solved the problem. I still don't know if I can blame that cable - it could be the USB port or some other reason. I…

It's HARD with Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets

It's really hard. I believe "durable" is a marketing term. And that's fine for certain use cases. But connect to a face-tethered VR headset and try to play Beat Saber? It's a bit awkward. It's also not as flexible as it should be. However, it connects at USB 3 speeds. The Oculus USB test showed a consistent transfer rate of 2.1 Gbps. My setup didn't allow me to get 90fps over Link, but Beat Saber's lag got so small it didn't exist at all (I used a USB2 cable before it came out). If I were to…

Works great on my Quest 2 AFTER USB driver rollback

This is the second cable I have purchased for the Occulus Quest 2. Neither cable originally registered Occulus to my USB 3.0 ports, but 2.0 took over. The VIA USB Controller drivers automatically installed by Windows 10 were not compatible with Oculus. There are no updates to fix this issue. So I found the old VIA_XHCI_Driver_V4.40D_AP drivers for 64-bit Windows 7 and installed them as a fallback. Tadaaa! USB 3.0 now registers Oculus Quest 2! The cable works great and I can use Link…

Sometimes works in accessories

Bought an Oculus Quest 2 and saw it got good reviews. Really didn't want to spend 80€ for an official connection cable. The cable is really heavy. And it might even be a general problem. Take something with you to attach the cable to the headset, though, as it's very heavy. I had problems with constant disconnections. Tried multiple USB ports. Everything disabled to make sure nothing else is dragging. Connected to my Super Speed 3.0 port and the cable only tests at around 1.2-1.5 Gbps. Just pay

Pros
  • All right!
