This kit was a waste of my money

Both tools were difficult to open and close one handed. The shears came without factory packaging, rusted, bent tipped, scratched, and overall looked very well used. The concave cutters had a large chip out of the blade, and I'm afraid they'll break if I use them on anything thicker than a twig. This kit was a waste of my money, and a terrible introduction to the hobby.

Dont waste your money.

I bought two pair, returned them both. The knob cutters werent bad, but the concaves were worthless, both times. They didnt even meet to make a clean cut. THE most essential tool for the trade and pretty much non-functional.Spend the extra money and get something worth the while. Some things are not always better because they're more affordable.

Excellent beginner tools

Excellent beginner tools. Tools are of good quality and arrived when promised. I wouldndefinitelynrecommend buying these tools if you just started the art of bonsai.

  • 2 cutters and a round stick of fire starters. will work till i can afford a professional set

Poor quality control

Knob cutters were unusable . Ground incorrectly and misaligned. Diagonal cutters were perfect. Bamboo brush is just silly.

Very sharp - my new review

Nice tools and a great price for very sharp cutters. Don't forget to keep them clean and oiled though or they rust quickly.

Broke easily with limited use.

These are falling apart and out of alignment after 4 months of light use. Fail. I just purchased a replacement from a higher quality brand.

Extra star for price

Quality is extremely low. Tools (especially shears) look as if they were built in a garage. Shears are awkward and large even for my hands which are not small. You get what you pay for but household scissors are sharper and more effective than the shears. The concave cutters seem sharp enough but are not spring return. Even with the price, im dissapointed. I will be spending the extra to get a nicer set that doesn't arrive rusty or dull.
