I bought this protective top for my niece who works as a security guard in a hospital. She loves it. She says it makes her feel safer. She's small (120 lbs) so being short is perfect for her.

I have only washed this item a few times (hand wash) and the padding has already started to loosen/deteriorate. Once this happens, the shirt becomes unusable and unwearable because the padding is crumpled at the seams. I have only hand washed and air dried this shirt and after a few washes the shirt has deteriorated.

I have had many of these shirts over the years and they are great for running and working out. It looks good and works great. It acts like armor in soft areas and fits snugly like a compression garment. It is very comfortable to wear all day long. Fits like a glove. In general I highly recommend it. It helped me alot.

Bought last year for the 2020 abridged football season. It has always been carefully hand washed and air dried. A week into this year's soccer season, all of the foam pads were piling up, rendering them unusable. It's a great idea to insert hexagonal foam pads for protection and more flexibility. However, the execution is not that good.

*Edited from the original review They even gave me a full refund without returning the clothes. Definitely + for customer service. The product is cheaper than most of its competitors' clothing. So if the padding can withstand the gentle washing process, it will be a satisfying purchase.

Used for my two sons who play soccer. A defender and the other midfielder. The soft compression shirt fit both boys well who played in different positions on the pitch. The product fits true to size. However, if you want it to be a snug fitting garment that conforms easily to your body, I would go one size smaller than you would normally wear. If you wear a men's medium t-shirt, it will fit like a men's medium t-shirt, but will sag and not fit. Just a suggestion, but a quality product!

I ordered this "shirt" as extra padding for my 6 broken ribs which happened when I fell off my horse. I took my measurements and ordered an XL. When I tried it on, it was huge. Then I ordered LG. Much better, but I think I might even switch to medium. The shirt should be comfortable. I wear this over a t-shirt, which I then pull over another t-shirt. I think it will help if I fall while mountain biking, especially in the shoulder or rib area. This shirt has lots of padding in both areas as well as some padding on the sternum and lower back. What I don't like is that unfortunately it's hot when the weather is over 65° because it's very likely to be worn as a tank top underneath your regular tank top.
