No leaks so far although the caps seemed loose when I unscrewed them which shouldn't have happened. If you want more security you can use teflon tape on the threads but I think the gasket should prevent leaks. A little silicone grease on the gasket helps with sealing and durability. My only complaint is that the threads on the caps and inside the tube weren't very well made, as if there were broken threads and bits of material hanging down, but you get what you pay for.

So for my application this reservoir was suitable. I have a special no gear sling so I used quick connectors to attach it to the sling to deflate. For any other use I would stay away from this reservoir; flowed like crazy. Capillary action at the point where the top rubber was attached caused significant leakage. Using this in your case can be a big problem. So spend more money and buy a quality tank instead, you won't regret it.

Determined to take a risk despite some reviews works fine for me. I would say just don't over tighten the cylinder and you'll be fine. Looks good for a budget tank, has been working for a week now, no leaks or discoloration, happy with purchase.
