Terrible experience! I will not go through this again!

These are really terrible end connectors. I've made lots of cables in the past, but most of the time this resulted in failed crimps (and worst of all, you don't know which end failed). After working with them for about 8 hours and only getting 2 working cables (I'm stubborn about solving problems) I bought a tester, a new crimping tool and new connectors based on my horrible experience. I first tried a working cable with new (non-continuous, although I don't think that feature is a problem)…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Factor Set

They are easier to work with than closed connectors

I used Cat 6 23 AWG copper wire with these connectors. grasp and unfold each of the wires). Third, arrange the wires in order and work with them until they lie flat. Fourth, thread the connector, check the order of the wires and make sure the cable is fully inserted. Fifth, cut the wires (use pads or a utility knife). If they stick out a bit, pull the wire slightly. Sixth, crimp the connector. Seventh, check the connection with a tester (I used a cheap one). wires in the right order. It's easy…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Useless features

They snap onto most of my connectors.

Disclaimer: I do everything by hand, not a professional. Update: Squeezing them a little harder than I'm comfortable and tilting them against the locking tab, they snapped into the Netgear ethernet switch. Another clarification I would like to make concerns the math. What I meant was that I had to do 16 crimps to get 10 good tests, which is a little worse than 1 out of 3 failures. I still wouldn't want them in my kit if I was paid by the hour, but the price for my home use makes them acceptable

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Difficult to say
