Very disappointed with vacuum and floor care

The brush arrived with the tip stuck in a small plastic tube with lots of hair rolled back and thus ruined. The brush is not pointed at all due to such packaging. I will not return a $3.39 item that is not worth my time and will only use it to apply polish or whatever.

Finished Brush: Brushes

This is my favorite freehand brush. I have a few others that are similar but this one just feels good and never lets me down. Once you feel like you know one brush, you'll find it difficult to use another. Perfect size, great material, great price. If you want to learn how to paint by hand with a brush, this brush is for you.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Contemporary

Almost perfect, not quite

This "mountain horse hair" brush is very good. For landscapes (rocks, mountains) you need a brush with hard, hard bristles, like from a horse's mane and tail. A mix of those with slightly softer bristles is ideal. This brush is soft rather than hard, but stiff enough and springy enough to create some landscape elements. If I was a more experienced artist, everything would probably have worked out. I got a Bergross hairbrush from another supplier which is absolutely perfect and which I now useโ€ฆ

Writes beautifully, but not that.

Let me start with a clarification: this brush writes great. I only used a few bushes but this one is as good as the one my calligraphy professor uses. This is a great brush for the price. However, it comes without a cap, every calligraphy brush I've looked at has a small clear plastic cap to prevent damage. In addition, the tip has been pre-soaked. I was very nervous that the pre-soaked tip would not meet my personal requirements. It turned out well, but I wouldn't recommend this brush to aโ€ฆ

Good, typical Happy Dot brush.

Be aware that like all Chinese paint brushes, the lifespan of your brush depends on how you take care of it. Upon receipt, the bristles are glued together, so they must be softened by placing the brush in a glass of cold water, right up to the plastic neck, to avoid wetting the bamboo handle. Flip it every few minutes, then gently press it against the side of the glass to increase its flexibility until it becomes pliable. Rinse again until it feels quite sticky. Now when you load your brushโ€ฆ
