Not without problems! in External Accessories

Bought in March 2018, installed in my receiver and uninstalled once. I've just tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and it won't snap into place. Not without problems, as announced. Wouldn't buy again. Will have to buy a different kind.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No

Just right as far as good for towing groceries and winch

Turns on and off well. Some garden hose cleaners avoid any rumble when sliding left or right (because they are longer than the minimum required, which is a good thing). Used them for a while but not all winter and not on salty roads. Whether it deserves another star remains to be seen.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Damaged

Has not lasted 6 months

Purchased in November 2016 and now in April 2017 the key does not turn. After spraying it with WD-40 for a couple of hours and trying to get it off, I had to fight back. The inside was so rusted that it couldn't come off properly. This product was not enough for me for half a year either, and now I have to buy a new one.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are defects

Wrong pin design to block seal.

The locking pin works as it should except for the O-ring where the pin enters the lock. The sealing groove and the O-ring have no purpose as delivered. Perhaps a #203 silicone o-ring would work to seal the pin in the lock and I'll give that a try. But the received O-ring and the supplied O-ring are useless. The pin must be recycled to properly isolate water, dirt, and debris from the lock.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

Dangerous, do not buy!

This thing sucks, the locking mechanism is so cheap and tight. Everything worked fine the first few times, and then it just sucks. The item broke after about two months. I was driving out of my area and thought I should stop and have a look. The locking mechanism wouldn't lock anymore and could easily come loose, glad I checked, it could be very dangerous. I won't buy it again, it's one piece. Very dangerous!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Minor issues

It's a bit cumbersome, but seems to work. As soon as you can wear it.

Pros: Nice thick metal; It would be very difficult to break the key in the lock and get stuck there (key has to be removed to lock. Has a good weatherproof cap. Tight space almost under car, with arthritic hands, the lock was VERY tight and the key wouldn't go in on first use (grease lock and you'll be fine) Generally the pros outweigh the cons for the first few uses until you become familiar with the awkward parts.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Upgrade availability

Needs some work

Looks good but needs some tweaking. It's weird when you turn the key upside down like you normally would and the key is in the middle. Once the key is in (which isn't as smooth as you're used to, needs a bit of fiddling, thank god no rain) it feels mechanical, a bit scratchy, not smooth when you turn the key, not like a new main castle. The blocking method is similar to the air hose connection, which is different and may fall. It does everything it's supposed to and feels solid, but it just…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions
