Very similar to the bacon grease container with strainer. It works well and is of good quality, but it's big! I would look for a smaller one if I ever need another.

Pros It's a good size and has a tray to sit on so it doesn't ruin your countertops. Cons: Lid and strainer are two separate parts. The lid falls off easily. Just like the sieve. The only reason I didn't send it back is because I wanted the tray to fit under my current one.

We fry every now and then. My mom loves to use frying oil for frying and savory pastries (no smell of crude oil). This 1.7 liter size is great for storing oil for reuse. Tub, safety net and lid are important elements that are easy to clean and do not get dirty.

Unboxing pictures. The lid arrived with a few scratches and dents, but I'm not returning it because of that. This is a great fat storage container. The layered lid with built in filter is an added bonus over some of the grease jars I've used. I also love that it comes with a base that hangs from a mat to keep the counter clean in the event of a spill.

I was a little disappointed. The first thing that struck me right out of the box was the color. The color is more wine than red. It doesn't match any of my other appliances etc that are on my counter. When I opened it I found the lid was loose and not tight. I do not like it at all! On the other hand, it is large and the sieve is fine-meshed.
