Contigo AUTOSPOUT Water Bottle 32Oz Review

This bottle is ideal for everyday use. I really like the locking mechanism for the spout, my other bottle always poured automatically. This simple addition is a game changer for me!

This product is too big for a cup holder and not enough when closed. If it tips over in a closed car, it's leaking. In addition, the straw does not have a secure lock in the lid, so drinking from it is noisy and requires more effort to drink than from a regular straw. I would not recommend this product.

I sent the first one back because it made a horrible "pair of geese" noise no matter how I drank from it. Got a second and the same. So disappointed as Contigo products have always been our favorites. I threw the second one away, it wasn't worth donating, nor was it worth my time to return. A lady posted a video of the noise it makes, check it out before you risk a purchase.

I like the characteristics and the look of the bottle. However, if there is liquid in the bottle (non-carbonated!) when the straw is taken out and in working position, somehow pressure builds up in it and the liquid flows out of the straw and makes a big mess. This also happens when the straw and lid are fully closed. It's a real treat when you open it and the liquid splatters all over the room, on your clothes, etc. I mean liquid like Kool-Ade, not carbonated. definitely. A few shirts ruined.

This water bottle is only half as good as the previous model. First, if it's not fully closed, it will leak; but when I close them all the way, I find it difficult, almost impossible, to take a sip. Also, I'm missing the rubber strip that the old model had that gave it traction. And in general, the plastic feels cheaper compared to the older model. I've been using the Contigo as my daily water bottle for a long time. Replaced by 2.0"new version" (in the photo on the left a new one, on the right an old one). everything is better The straw is inserted into the gripping body instead of being pressed against the stem. I needed a clear bottle for work so I got this one. It's damn indestructible, just like other Contigo products I own. I have dropped it on the warehouse floor many times leaving only scratches on the plastic surface. So I was always a Contigo fan until I got this one. I love the flip top and the material the mouthpiece is made of (I tend to chew on them and they are always so firm and soft). This one is much larger so has a wide base which is fine but is a bit awkward to hold when filling as you have to grab at the top.
